Art galleries, charming stone houses and a bay that even attracts Hollywood directors.

4 hours | 12,5 kilometers | medium demanding hike mostly on forest trails | Return by bus | Detour for a swim to Cala Deia bay is highly recommended!

It must be a beautiful place where Andrew Lloyd Weber and Annie Lennox settle... So, let´s go and discover the lovely montain and artist village Deia. Don´t forget your bikini - Cala Deia is a dreamlike bay to cool off and a popular set of international film productions.Your first destination is the lighthouse of Puerto de Soller. Take a photo, marvel at the deep blue sea and continue to the refuge Refugi La Muleta. After you have passed the road, follow the signs to the Cami de Castello, pass a small chapel and you will arrive at the estate Can Prohem, a rustic retreat and time for a picnic stop. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the orange valley with a cafe con leche and home-made almond cake (Gató Mallorquin) before you continue the path high above the sea to Deia.

Quaint streets, typical stone fassade houses, galleries, lush vegetation and rushing beck in front of an impressive mountain range - this is the place where many artists settle down and get inspired. If you follow the water downhill you will reach the bay of Cala Deia. Now it´s time to swim, snorkle and sunbathing! After cooling off, enjoy fresh fish in the thatched-roof restaurant, just above the sea, and be sure that you are spending the most beautiful day of your life!

Our tip for "long-distance hiking grumps": The restaurant at the lighthouse of Puerto de Soller is worth at least a short hike for sunset-marvel or delicious dinner. Here, there are the best Gambas of the island, the red ones from Puerto de Soller. So delicious!
