It is said that on any given weekday there will be a market taking place somewhere on Mallorca. In our neighboring town of Sóller it’s on Saturday morning between 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m., when the market square in front of St. Bartholomew church and the surrounding streets are packed with traders. Tourists and locals thread their way between the colorful stands and the town bursts with energy.

The goods on offer include local produce – like yummy aromatic ham, dried and fresh seafood, tapas with pickled olives, chili peppers, eggplants and onions, oranges, artisan jams, and candy – as well as clothing, basketwork, and much more besides.
