Discover the hidden north side of Puig Major

The minibus takes us to the Fornalutx communal forest. Today's panoramic hike begins on an old lumberjack trail. This leads us through a dense mixed forest with beautiful panoramas of the surrounding mountains, the Puig Major and the valley of Sóller. We continue uphill to the Coll de Bini saddle in the Finca Bini. Then it goes downhill on a wide forest path, along the northern slope of the Puig Major, above the green valley of the Binis.

Our local picnic takes place here outdoors. After the break, it goes up on a panoramic path. We ascend a karst rocky area to above an old cable car platform. Here we are rewarded with views of the wide north coast and Sa Calobra. A narrow, stony donkey path leads us downhill again. We hike through cutting grass meadows with gigantic views of the valley of Lluc, the Massanella mountain range and the unknown north side of the Puig Major to Formentor. We continue downhill through an old holm oak forest, past the Finca Turixant to Ses Arcades. After a short drink break, we start our return trip by minibus to Port de Sóller.
