Would you like to look over the shoulders of fishermen as they bring their freshly caught catch ashore? In dreamlike surroundings? Then get on your bike and head to Cala Figuera!

The picturesque fishing village is located on a fjord-like bay in the south-east of Mallorca and is THE dream motif par excellence. Boat sheds with green wooden doors, fishing nets, an old watchtower, a lighthouse and turquoise-coloured sea make Cala Figuera the ideal set for your Instagram story. It's best to lock up your bike above the fishing harbour and discover the village on foot. Simply follow the footbridges around the fishing harbour. They lead up to beautiful viewing platforms, past agaves and llauts, Mallorca's traditional fishing boats.

After the photo session, treat yourself to a delicious almond cake in the Bar Cala, set above the fjord. And because the way back is quite short, make a detour to Cala Llombards with its iconic 70-metre-wide stone arch in the sea - another Instagram motif....

Our tip: On 16 July, the patron saint of the seas, Virgen del Carmen, is honoured in Cala Figuera. After a mass, there is a boat procession of fishermen on the sea.
