If there's one thing this course has going for it, it's quality: it boasts an unbeatable course, location and scenery. Designed by world-renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., this course offers unparalleled views of the Bay of Alcudia and of the club's namesake, Alcanada – a small nearby island, complete with lighthouse.
This par-72 course is nestled in a quintessentially Majorcan landscape. You'll find pine trees, olive trees and holm oak trees, as well as wild pheasants and peregrine falcons. The clubhouse is located in a centuries-old manor house that's been lovingly renovated. Its large terrace is the perfect place to take in the spectacular scenery and enjoy a relaxed end to a busy day of golfing.
The open course structure makes this a fair course to play. Its hard, super-fast greens mean you'll need a close relationship with your putter. In golfing circles, its fairways are deemed comparable to carpets and its spectacular views are unrivalled. This is the only course on Majorca with sea views across 17 of its 18 holes. All in all, this is a premium course with a real touch of class.
This golf club also has its own golf school with experienced multilingual PGA golf teachers.
Club de Golf Alcanada is a highly acclaimed golf course. The readers of the German "Golf Journal" have once again voted it as their favourite golf course in Europe, the "Rolex Golf Guide" lists it as one of the best 1,000 courses in the world, while German certification company TÜV Rheinland have consistently rated it as a high-quality golf course. The Alcanada is also a founding member of the “Leading Golf Courses of Spain”.
