Yoga Retreats in Bikini Hotels

it feels like coming home

There are places that touch you on a deeper level. Two such places on Mallorca have accompanied me for several years now as a yoga teacher and retreat leader and every time I return, it feels like coming home. The Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel in Port de Sóller and its sister property near Es Trenc beach in the south of the island are very special sanctuaries for me. Here, lightness, joie de vivre, creative energy and relaxed boho vibes come together in the most natural way. It is an atmosphere that inspires without being loud and precisely for that reason feels so profoundly soothing.

Two Hotels, One Shared Energy

To be honest, I find it hard to say which of the two hotels I like better, as both are unique and beautiful in their own way. What they share is this feeling of vibrant aliveness combined with deep relaxation.

As a yoga teacher, it is especially important to me that my retreat participants feel well cared for not only during our time on the yoga mat but also in the moments in between. That is exactly what happens here from the very first moment. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, the beds incredibly comfortable, and it is often the small details that make the stay so special: high quality L:A Bruket toiletries, beach bags and towels, a Bluetooth speaker. Everything is there to help you truly arrive and settle into holiday mode. The beautifully designed pool areas invite you to linger and instantly create that light, relaxed vacation feeling.

Port de Sóller is picturesquely nestled between the Tramuntana mountains and the bay. I love the view of the sea, the possibility to go hiking between yoga sessions or to explore the area by bike. In the south of the island, the Caribbean like Es Trenc beach with its crystal clear water is within walking distance, a place for long walks, for expansion and simply being.

Spaces That Support the Practice

For a successful yoga retreat, two factors are essential alongside the yoga itself: the spaces in which we practise and the quality of the food. Both Bikini Hotels fulfil all my wishes in this respect. The yoga spaces open up to sea views, which immediately create a sense of calm and inner clarity. They are equipped with everything we need for our practice, and thanks to large sliding doors it often feels as though we are practising outdoors in the fresh air. In Port de Sóller, there is also the option to practise on the rooftop terrace, and at the Bikini Hotel near Es Trenc we have a spacious outdoor platform for meditation and yoga under the open sky. Simply heavenly.

The NENI - a joy for all the senses

A true highlight is the food at NENI, a joy for all the senses. Sometimes I catch myself already looking forward to breakfast the night before. The buffet is colourful, varied and lovingly put together, so there really is something for everyone. Shared breakfasts create space for conversation and spontaneous ideas for small excursions into the surrounding area, always guided by how one is feeling in the moment.

Depending on the location and retreat schedule, we come together once or twice for a shared three-course dinner in Balagan style. These evenings are deeply nourishing, not only for the body but also for the soul. Community, enjoyment, meaningful conversations and that beautiful feeling of celebrating life in its fullness. On the other evenings, spontaneous gatherings emerge in one of the nearby restaurants. Sometimes planned, sometimes coincidental, always relaxed. This, too, is part of the special retreat atmosphere: space for connection without obligation and for encounters that are simply allowed to unfold.

A Space for Retreat and Inner Connection

All of this forms the framework for my retreats: a protected space where you can step away from everyday life and reconnect, with your higher awareness, with love, compassion and peace within yourself. At the Bikini Island & Mountain Hotels, this becomes truly possible.

About Anna Rech

Keep it simple. This is Anna’s guiding principle in her yoga practice and in life.

With great joy and an open heart, Anna has been teaching yoga in her hometown of Hamburg, across Europe and online for 20 years. For her, yoga is always about finding balance: between stability and freedom, stillness and movement, focus and spaciousness, strength and surrender. The path leads to the golden middle, with the body understood as the temple of the soul. Anna believes that yoga holds an incredible potential for transformation and creates space for healing. For her, yoga is a journey inward, to the source of our consciousness.

Compassion, intuition and lightness are qualities Anna shares with her participants and consciously nurtures in her classes. Throughout all these processes, she herself remains a lifelong student and continues her education with dedication and curiosity.
